Welcome to the world, Troy! | A Birth Story | Albany NY Birth Photographer | Chelsea Bos Photography

Wow.

Just wow.

I have written and deleted three blogs so far trying to figure out how to write what it was like to shoot this birth.  I can’t keep it under like, 3,000 words so I’m going to try and sum it up in one sentence and let my photos do the rest of the talking.

Being in the room the moment new life fills it with a fresh pair of screaming lungs is single handedly the most amazing thing I will ever witness in my life.

I’m lucky my camera focus was working because my tears were making it hard to see.

Unreal. Beautiful. Miracle.

Tiffany was a ROCK STAR!

Thank you, Matthews clan, for allowing me to share this incredibly intimate moment with you  It’s something I will NEVER forget! <3 <3 <3

I kept them in black and white because I thought it allowed you to focus on the emotions best! Enjoy!

It’s all fun and games at first! 😉

Meanwhile in the waiting area….

It’s BEYOND appropriate that Jay and Tiffany’s son was born on the first day of March Madness…

Things picked up in Tiffany’s labor VERY quickly.  Women are such amazing beings, they can endure so much.

Jay was so attentive.  He let Tiffany know when the contraction had peaked and reminded her to breathe.

White knuckles.

After being kicked out in the waiting area so Tiffany could get an Epi, we got called in sooner than expected because it was GO time!

A quick pep talk from Tiffany’s doctor.

He’s HERE!!!!

This picture BREAKS my heart in the best possible way! <3

Tiny toes!

That’s one proud Papa.

The official stats!

Tiffany finally gets a look at her boy’s sweet face!

Jay finally has his boy! 😉

Big sister Addison got to sneak in for a few seconds in the hallway.  She couldn’t have been any sweeter.  Asked if they could take him home and when Tiffany said “soon, maybe tomorrow!” Addison said, “Maybe in twenty minutes?”

And I cried again… <3

Mama and Baby settle in for a rest after a long and exciting day! <3
